This trip is open for KISA members and other international or international-minded students and non-students! It's possible to join this trip also from Varkaus, Mikkeli, Lappeenranta + Tampere and Helsinki.

ITINERARY (4 days, 3 nights)

DAY 1
Departure to St Petersburg by bus at 6 AM from Kuopio. Bus picks up passengers from Snellmania, Neulamäkpi and Särkiniemi in this  order. Mikkeli 8.00 AM, Lappeenranta at 10 AM. A break in a gas station before arriving to the border. Border formalities 11 AM-1 PM. A stop for exhanging money and buying some goods right after crossing the border. Arrival in St Petersburg by 5-6 PM. Lodging. Free time. In the evening Russian dinner party with a folk music show 25 eur! Clubbing.

 
DAY 2
Breakfast. Possibility for a day bus excursion to the Catherine's palace 20 eur. 
Afterwards cathedral on the Spilled blood.Night program: limousine cruising in the city centre 15 €! Clubbing...

DAY 3
Breakfast. Guided city tour by bus. SS Peter and Paul fortress, St Isaac's cathedral. Possibility for Opera, ballet or circus in the evening. See playbill at www.mikhailovsky.ru and www.mariinsky.ru . Ticket prices start from 30 eur and they can be ordered during the bus trip on Thursday.

DAY 4
Breakfast. Check-out by 11 AM. Bus departure from the hotel to Kuopio via Vyborg. A shopping stop in a hypermarket in the city of Vyborg 2-3 PM. Border formalities 4-5 PM. Tax free shopping before the Finnish border. Arrival in Lappeenranta 7  PM, Mikkeli 9 PM, Kuopio 11 PM.
